During your teen years, you will have many kinds of relationships, both friendships and those that are dating relationships.

Sometimes, however, these relationships can be unhealthy and can be harmful either to you or other people involved.Unhealthy relationships can be risky because someone can get hurt emotionally or physically.If you think the person you're dating is abusive, get help.Talk to your parents or guardians or other adult you trust. They may have rules about things like when you can be alone with a date.

Keep in mind that the sex in movies, music, and TV shows often doesn't reflect real or healthy relationships. Trust your instincts and treat yourself with respect — and make sure your crush does, too. Talk with the other person ahead of time about what you will and will not do physically.
In a healthy relationship, both partners are comfortable letting the other person know how they are feeling.
You might disagree or argue sometimes, but in healthy relationships you should be able to talk things out together to reach a compromise that works for you both.
